About me
My name is Nienke Limburg and I was born in 1996. Dressage has been my main hobby since I was six years old. That hobby has grown into a great passion! I started horseriding at the Schimmelkroft in Heemskerk. I got my first pony when I was 9 years old. Her name was Arana and I rode M1 with her. After this I got a welsh E-pony called Silvano. Together with Silvano I rode Z2 dressage and achieved many successes!
At the end of 2012 we bought Bojangles in Belgium. Bojangles is a very talented gelding by the famous stallion Ravel. Bojangles was bred by Tim Coomans. Bojangles is the horse with which my hobby has really grown into a more serious activity. I have already achieved many results together with Bojangles. In 2014 and 2015 Bojangles and I were included in the Rabo Talent Plan.
With Bojangles I am currently starting in the PSG and in intermediate 1. With Bojangles I achieved Grand Prix dressage.
Besides Bojangles, I enjoy training and breeding young horses. I get a lot of satisfaction from training and then successfully starting a horse at competitions that I have trained myself. At the moment I have 4 nice young mares at different levels in training.
I train with the horses with Rieky Young. Both trainers are completely different, but complement each other well for me.
In addition to the horses, I studied physiotherapy at the Hanze Hogeschool in Groningen. I completed this study in February 2020. I currently work part-time as a physical therapist at AFP in Assen. I also do a master in physical therapy.
Our stables are situated at the small town of Wapse (Drenthe / Netherlands). After a big renovation in 2019 / 2020 we relocated to this beautiful place, at the border of te nature resort "Drents Friese Wold".
